I was fortunate enough to grow up with a garden that was often full of people, food, and laughter, and as I got older I was able to more fully appreciate the value these outdoor spaces have in our everyday lives. I studied Geography and was fascinated by the idea that we are both able to shape the way these places look and are simultaneously shaped by them, they have an effect on us.
Whilst working in my first full-time job, an office in central London, I spent every lunch in nearby parks and green spaces. This quickly became the highlight of my day and I decided that I wanted to play a role in creating outdoor spaces that have a positive impact on people. A Brief History
2018
Enrolled on a course at the English Gardening School, based in the Chelsea Physic Garden
2019
Graduated from the English Gardening School and received my diploma
Began working as a Gardener at The Grove Hotel, primarily in Jemima’s Kitchen Garden
2022
Promoted to Supervisor of the Formal Garden at The Grove Hotel
Finalist in RHS Young Designer of the Year at Tatton Park Flower Show, awarded a Silver Medal
2023
Exhibited at RHS Chelsea Flower Show, awarded a Gold Medal for the St. George ‘Alight Here’ Balcony Garden
Passed the RHS Level 3 examinations
Began working full-time as a self-employed Gardener & Designer
One of ProLandscapers 30 under 30
2024
Designed and installed feature garden at the first RHS Urban Show in Mayfield Depot Manchester, a pub garden in collaboration with Manchester Evening News
Relocated the pub garden to competition-winning co-operative pub in Salford, the Star Inn
Designed and installed the Monument feature garden in the Great Pavilion of the Chelsea Flower Show, working with UBS and Rosy Hardy to create a dynamic and interactive space
Relocated the elements of this feature to Park Village Oasis in Stratford, London, a community garden looked after by volunteers who live in the surrounding area
‘Summer of Jazz’ Installation at Filmworks Ealing for St George, a fun display to tie in with the comedy and music festival in the area
